Along with the V-200 and V950PU, the Go Elliptical V-450 is part of the Vena line cross-trainers.
It’s a machine for home usage with an eddy current resistance technology that may be adjusted digitally.
The V-450 boasts a few added functions, such as pedal adjustment and arm adjustment compared to other similar elliptical trainers in this price range.

Construction
The Go Elliptical Vena V-450 is made out of steel and ABS components.
The drive and resistance element covers are constructed of ABS, whereas most of the structural frame is composed of steel tubes.
Heavy-duty ABS plastic is also used for the pedals and a few other tiny coverings.
Except for the adjustable elements of the moving arms, which are chrome plated, the primary steel tubes of the unit’s frame are coated with corrosion-resistant paint.
The base frame and front mast are finished in a dark gray paint finish, the only color available for this Vena model.
The Goelliptical V-450 isn’t one of the biggest elliptical trainers on the market.
It has a 50″L x 26″W footprint (127 x 66 cm). However, for safe operation, it is advised that at least two feet of clearance be left on each side and at the back.
In case you’re wondering, the unit’s frame does not fold. However, its front base is fitted with transfer wheels, making it easier to move once you’ve completed your workout.
When completely completed, the machine is not overly heavy, but it does weigh around 126 lbs (57 kg).
For this reason, it is suggested that two people carry out its assembly.
On the other hand, this weight has a significant impact on the unit’s overall stability.
Moreover, the base bars’ levelers add to their stability.
Two extra-large pedals are included on the Go Elliptical V-450.
They have a non-slip ribbed surface. They’re joined to two sturdy steel bars, so the apparatus can easily support persons weighing up to 300 pounds (136 kilograms).
The pedals on this bike lack the increased cushioning and articulation seen on the ProForm Endurance 920E, for example.
They can, however, be adjusted. A foot-stopper can be positioned in eight distinct spots on its surface.
Last but not least, this elliptical trainer comes with two handlebar sets, one fixed and the other movable.
Both sets include a lengthy, rubberized surface and a multi-grip design. Metal pulse sensors are integrated into the fixed handlebars, including resistance adjustment buttons on their ends.
On the other hand, the movable arms may be adjusted in three places and are locked and released using the front knobs.
Stride Length
The Vena V-450 GoElliptical is a cross-trainer with a rear-drive system.
For this reason, the elliptical route it follows is slightly tilted forward. To put it another way, riding it feels like descending a soft slope. This might be viewed as a benefit since it focuses more attention on your glutes.
The machine has a 17″ stride (43 cm).
For this reason, it should be able to comfortably accommodate people up to 6’2″ (188 cm), allowing for a wide range of motion.
Even if you’re taller, you should be able to exercise on it and get a regular cardio workout as long as you don’t surpass the authorized weight capacity of 300 lbs (136 kg).
The pedals are approximately 6″ (15 cm) above the floor level at their lowest position.
On the other hand, their tallest point is around 16″ (40 cm) above floor level.
On the other hand, the step-up pedal height is somewhere in the middle, at around 10″(25 cm). For this reason, GoElliptical recommended that you use the machine in a room with a ceiling at least 20″ (51 cm) higher than your own.
Resistance Level
Eddy’s current resistance is included in the GoElliptical V-450 cross-trainer.
It features a motorized magnetic internal brake, in other words. Only the console (and the buttons on the fixed handlebars) may modify the resistance, and the machine must be linked to a power source.
The internal servo motor will vary the magnetic pull on the internal flywheel when you set your preferred tension level from the console, resulting in the greater or less pedaling effort.
There are 24 different tension levels available on the machine.
The first few levels provide mild pedal tension, ideal for those who require recovery training or want to get in a modest exercise.
The 22-24 tension levels, on the other hand, let you focus more on your leg muscles and attain a high cardiovascular rate in a short period.
The magnetic flywheel on the cross trainer weighs 15.4 lbs (7 kg).
This piece is likewise perimeter-weighted, ensuring a smooth motion and continuous velocity.
The elliptical Vena V-450 cross trainer, like most other exercise machines with an inbuilt magnetic brake, has a belt transmission.
It employs a heavy-duty belt that produces an almost quiet pedaling action with far less vibration than a chain drive.
It also avoids the inconvenience of lubricating regularly.
Reverse pedaling is possible thanks to the machine’s drivetrain.
For this reason, if you wish to alternate various muscle groups, you can backpedal.
Console
The mid-range console on the Go Elliptical V-450 incorporates a multi-window LCD monitor with LED illumination for improved reading.
The essential workout variables tracked are time, distance, pace, calories, and pulse.
However, it is not telemetric. This means it can only monitor your pulse using the built-in sensors. Wireless HR straps are not compatible with it.
The console has no Bluetooth capabilities and is not compatible with any internet apps.
It does, however, include 24 pre-programmed routines to keep you motivated. Each program has its unique characteristics. Some are meant to help you burn more calories, while others are interval-based or target your heart rate.
Moreover, the Random software generates a fresh profile each time it is opened, ensuring that each of your exercises is unique.
A Recovery option is also available.
This necessitates the usage of pulse sensors after your workout.
For this reason, the console will calculate the time it takes for your heart to return to normal, and it will assign you a fitness grade between F1 (excellent) and F6 (poor) (Poor).
There are four user profiles accessible in the console.
Personal information such as body weight, height, gender, and age can be saved by each user.
For this reason, the unit will be able to calculate calorie and recovery values with greater accuracy.
The console unit’s features include a tablet holder and a sound system.
The tablet holder is located beneath the machine’s display; it is rather spacious and can handle most tablets and smartphones.
Two little speakers are mounted on the unit’s bottom corners as the sound system.
For this reason, you may plug in your MP3 player, smartphone, or tablet to the console and listen to music.
Assembly
The machine’s base part, which includes all of the resistance and driving elements, is delivered completely constructed.
All left to do now is connect the base bars, the console mast, pedal bars pedals, handlebars, and console.
It shouldn’t take more than an hour to do this task. The booklet includes detailed schematics and assembly instructions. The machine also comes with a basic toolbox.
This elliptical cross trainer does not require any internal maintenance (at least not for a long period).
So, in terms of maintenance, all you have to do is keep an eye out for loose bolts and parts and grease the machine’s joints if they start to creak.
Summary
The Vena V-450 from GoElliptical is a mid-range cross trainer with 24 levels of eddy current resistance, 24 preset exercise programs, adjustable pedals, moving arms, and a rather strong overall design.
It’s a great machine for low- to moderate-intensity exercise, muscular toning, endurance development, and weight loss.
Finally, it provides reasonably good value for the money.
