Frame and Construction
The SF-T7951 is a resistant machine due it is a steel frame. It supports up to 120 kg (265 lbs) and a solid deck. The steel frame makes it possible for users of different sizes to make use of the treadmill effectively.
Some part of the treadmill is covered with ABS plastic, like the motor cover, console casing, and the side rail. The treadmill is greyish because the steel was coated with corrosive-resistant paint.
Apart from being small, although a fully assembled unit takes 61 inches of space, it has a folding design that saves space. It has a foldable sidearm and can also be stored vertically using just 15 inches of space, and will cover an area of 35 inches L and 14 inches width. You can stash it away easily, even under the bed.
The SF-T7951 is equipped with two front wheels, making it easy to transport or relocate, adjustable stabilizers at the front and rear bases to level the treadmill on any floor.
Furthermore, a multi-layered belt with a thick layer to sustain the load increases the adherence and durability of the running surface belt.
The deck has many cushioning element which helps to reduce the impact on your back and joints when you are running. This shows that the aesthetic look is not just pleasing to the eye but very useful.
This treadmill provides a running area of 50 inches as the length and width of 20 inches. The running area primarily determines the size of the product because it forms the base and is horizontal to the ground, making SF-T7951 one of the smaller models. It can support users’ height up to 6’0” (183 cm) because of the running area.
The user can enjoy the treadmill effectively for running workouts, motions of running, and others. But users above 6 inches will benefit from different movements when running because of the height and limitation of the treadmill.
Searching for a treadmill with a motorized incline system? The SF-T7951 has it. This technology makes it easier to adjust the incline from the console situated on the deck. It is an automatic process that you can do even during a workout.
The presets adjust the treadmill motor speed and incline automatically with sequence gaps and quick selection. The incline is independent of the treadmill motor, and it has its motor to ensure that there is no mixed up or delay when using the treadmill motor during a workout, but the control is also on the console.
It also has a lift situated at the front of the deck with its motor. The mechanism is that; when you try to adjust the incline from the console, the lift in front of the deck will elevate the front of the deck, which will, in turn, increase the front part of the running surface belt; it will make the slope steeper.
The more you raise the deck, the steeper the slope will be, and the more daring the running on the running area will be.
The running surface is 7 inches above the floor level; using the treadmill in a building 15 inches higher than your height will be okay. On the console, the incline level is 15, and each level has a 1-degree increment in between. Moreover, there is a quick incline button selection of 3, 6, and 9.
Motor and Speed
It was stated earlier that the SF-T7951’s speed is between 0.6 MPH to 10 MPH, we cannot deduce the exact horsepower of SF-T7951, but it is estimated to be between 2.0 to 2.5 HP. This is enough to provide a continuous belt motion at the maximum weight capacity of 265 lbs.
The preset is designed in such a way that the user will adapt quickly to the motor pace. The speed adjustment makes the transition easy, having 0.1 MPH between each value; this will make the pace smooth and avoid jerking when you increase the speed.
Like the incline control, the speed adjustment control also has a quick speed selection of 3, 6, and 9 MPH, it’s left to the user if they can adapt, but this won’t be a problem for a pro.
The motor is a less powerful one; the treadmill produces quiet noise except at high speed. The motor doesn’t consume too much power; this makes it affordable in terms of electricity bills.
The console is the brain box of the treadmill; this is where all the controls (preset) are situated. The console has a LED display divided into five compartments. Starting from the left, we have the calories burned indicator, current incline indicator, time spent, distance covered, and the current speed of the running surface.
The speed is shown in MPH (meter per hour) and the distance; in miles. The console 15 preset programs can be divided into 20 segments. If you set a limit for your workout and choose a program, the limit you select will divide into 20 segments.
In addition, there is a target selection for functions like calories, time, distance, and the console will initiate a countdown till it reaches 0.
We have the USB port on the console, which can charge devices with 5v ratings like sports clock, mp3 player phone, tablet, etc. It also has Bluetooth connectivity to sync your tablet and Smartphone with the treadmill console to enjoy some music through the treadmill integrated speakers.
Besides, the console has a tablet holder at the top of the console. It is also foldable and can fit into any tablet size.
The company assembles the treadmill, and there is no hassle in installing it. All you have to do is remove it from its box and unfold the two upright bars coupled with the console. Attach them to the knob; that’s all. Plug the treadmill into a power source to use it.
The process won’t take you more than 10 minutes. The treadmill comes with a manual for installing, using, and maintaining the machine.
Even though it is already assembled, it can be heavy for you. For that reason, once you install it, it is easy to relocate it because it has transport wheels at the front base, making it easy for one person to move it.
The maintenance is simple and stress-free. The deck needs periodic lubrication. If the treadmill is used for less than 3 hours per week, it is advisable to lubricate the deck every two months. If the treadmill is used often, it is good to lubricate the deck every month.
Lubrication help prevents rust and reduces friction between moving part. There is an oil plug at the deck front to add the oil without pulling the belt.
A bottle of lubricant is attached to the machine. Apart from lubricating the deck, keeping the belt clean and looking out for wear and tear is advisable.
Check the device for loose parts or bolts, and make sure you fix it and tighten them respectively.
